Sharon: Hi, Alex and welcome. Your oral hygiene products are now sold globally. How did you come up with the product idea? Was there a need?

Alex: We identified a gap in the market. We wanted to create a product that was quick, efficient, and delivered results. At the same time, we wanted to create a fun brand.

Sharon: How is your business different from others’ in the oral hygiene market?

Alex: Many companies are just looking to sell products. However, we sell the brand and the lifestyle associated with it. We’re looking at building a legacy and a strong customer relationship that will last and make our brand one of the most recognized brands globally.

Sharon: When did you start, and where are you now?

Alex: We started two years ago. We’ve now got over 150,000 customers internationally.

Sharon: How are the products sold? Only online?

Alex: We have decided to sell the products exclusively online. We see the trend of customers buying online continuing, and we promote our products mainly through social media.

Sharon: Let’s give a little help to other young wanna-be entrepreneurs. How do you actually start a business?

Alex: 100% passion. Whoever isn’t won’t survive. If you’re truly focused and dedicated to the idea, you’ll do anything you can to get it started.

Sharon: What about funding for young entrepreneurs? Any advice?

Alex: We were self-funded, so my advice would be to work hard and save up. It is easy to get funding these days with so many online crowdfunding options, so funding shouldn’t be the reason behind why someone can’t start a business.
